Good on you for reaching out, I know it’s not always easy.
Working with you I use a range of therapeutic modalities, tailored to your needs, to help you gain insight into any problems related to emotional distress, limiting beliefs and habits, unhelpful desires and fears - all with the aim of releasing or transforming these into whatever serves you better.
What we do together is more than just talking. I help you have balance and well-being as you go from a place of surviving to thriving!

My background is in Occupational Therapy, I’m also an accredited and certified Emotional Freedom Techniques Practitioner and an advanced Reiki Practitioner.

For online sessions. We pre-arrange a time and date when you know you will have the time and space for us to work together uninterrupted or overheard.
Prior to the session you need to ensure you are comfortably seated in a private space, with a drink and box of tissues. The screen you are using needs to be fixed so your head and upper body are visible.
I tend to use skype for meetings but can arrange other platforms if these are preferred. Generally we do the set up prior to the meeting via email to ensure we have the link established.
I ask you to view our session as if you've left your house and come to my therapy space. In that space you will not be responding to dishwashers turning off, mobile phones, children coming home from school etc. Why? Because your therapy is your time to focus on you and this is easier to achieve when you physically leave your normal space.
Be fierce about giving yourself the time and space you need without distractions, even when you are at home potentially surrounded by them.
Statement concerning the coronavirus pandemicBy using EFT I help people get a grip on the stress, worry and anxiety around the pandemic and their fears over the future and what they should be doing to keep themselves and their families healthy.
At Functional Lives we follow all Government levels and respond accordingly.
I offer therapy over the internet if people wish to avoid in-person sessions.
At the therapy space:
Clients are invited to sign in.
Hand sanitiser is provided for use.
Door handles and chair arms are wiped down between clients.
The room is cleaned using a steam cleaner and aired regularly.
I use an atomiser with 'antiseptic' essential oils.
If masks are required then I suggest we do face-to-face session over the internet as its important for us both to see our faces during therapy.

Emotional Freedom Techniques is a powerful, fast acting therapy that helps people feel more comfortable in one or two sessions. Where there are more complex issues or the client wishes to address more 'stuff' then more sessions are needed. EFT is particularly good at shifting the blocked energy around a problem and releasing the pain that it causes.
Most common issues I support people with:Basically, if you have uncomfortable feelings around a memory, thought or behaviour such as shame, loss, anger or fear etc. I can help you to release that discomfort and move on.
