Neurodiversity counselling & therapy in New Zealand
Neurodiversity refers to natural differences in how people think, process information, and experience the world. This can include conditions such as ADHD, autism, dyslexia, or other cognitive differences.
Being neurodivergent can come with both strengths and challenges. You may experience difficulties with focus, communication, sensory processing, or adapting to certain environments.
Counselling can help you better understand how your brain works, build on your strengths, and develop strategies that support your daily life.
If you are specifically looking for support with attention or focus, you may also find it helpful to explore ADHD.
On this page, you’ll find counsellors and therapists in New Zealand who offer support for neurodiversity.

I have a special interest and experience with cultural and neuro-diversity, trauma, anxiety, and depression. I tailor my therapeutic approach according to each client's individual needs and wants. Although I mainly draw from person-centered and solution-focused therapy modalities, I often integrate aspects of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Supporting clients to change unhelpful patterns, and find connection and meaning in their life are key aspects of my counselling.

Kia ora, my name is Rebekah, I'm 31 and I am a qualified counsellor based in both Rolleston and Christchurch. I offer in-person sessions in Rolleston and Christchurch and online counselling throughout New Zealand, working with a vast range of ages and presenting challenges.

I’m Clare, a registered counsellor (NZAC) in Christchurch. I created my practice as a reflective space to address the things often pushed aside. Whether you're navigating a career change, grief, or the crossroads of parenthood, I provide a grounded, practical space to explore the "big unknowns."
I also support children and teens facing school or personal challenges.

I appreciate those moments when something clicks and a client realises they're stronger, more capable, than they first thought, the freedom that comes from that space
I work with men and women navigating anxiety, stress, trauma, relationship challenges, grief, burnout, and low self-worth, offering a warm, supportive space to help you move forward with confidence.
