Kia ora, I’m Mari. I offer a gentle, trauma-informed, body-centered approach to experiential therapy rooted in Hakomi Somatic Psychotherapy, and further supported by Internal Family Systems (IFS).

This way of working can be especially supportive for those navigating trauma, grief, anger, confusion, and fear, feeling stuck in recurring patterns, longing to feel more at home in themselves, or seeking greater connection, presence, and ease in their lives.

I am a compassionate and experienced Licensed Counsellor (NZAC) and qualified Psychologist trained in Brazil, with over 30 years of diverse experience helping adults navigate life transitions, emotional challenges, and mental health concerns.

Hi, I am a registered counsellor with Dapaanz, also accredited clinical supervisor.

Since 1996, I’ve helped my clients break through the obstacles that seem to be holding them back in life.

I specialise in providing a wide range of effective therapeutic techniques for children and adolescents, adults and families.

I am passionate about the work I do and I am committed in providing beneficial therapy for clients affected by mental health related issues such as depression, anxiety, stress, trauma and grief.

Solution focused therapy, CBT and Mindfulness are some of the therapies, that I would apply when working with clients.
