Introduction
I am a compassionate and experienced Licensed Counsellor (NZAC) and qualified Psychologist trained in Brazil, with over 30 years of diverse experience helping adults navigate life transitions, emotional challenges, and mental health concerns.
I have worked in Brazil, Europe, USA and Australia. Since 2020 I have been part of the health and wellbeing sector in New Zealand. My professional journey includes both in-person and online counselling, always with a focus on building safe, respectful, and supportive relationships.
I work with people from many different cultural backgrounds, including migrants and those living abroad. I understand the challenges of cultural adaptation, homesickness, and identity. I also have extensive experience supporting clients dealing with trauma, relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, grief, and the emotional impact of accidents.
My practice is holistic and person-centred, guided by Carl Rogers’ approach, and enriched by trauma-informed practices, anxiety management strategies, and collaborative goal setting. I value presence, simplicity, and deep listening, helping clients feel genuinely heard and supported as they move toward growth and wellbeing.
