Introduction
Kia ora, I'm Rachel.
I’m a therapist and executive coach based in Wellington, Aotearoa NZ.
Using bioenergetic psychotherapy, enriched by safe, modern, mindfulness-based hypnotherapy, I support my clients to connect with their own resources and deeper selves. I work holistically, with a focus on freeing and supporting the life-energy. My work is practical, grounded, gentle and effective.

Online therapy
For online sessions, I use doxyme-- a secure, HIPAA compliant, online platform used by health professionals aroud the world. A good internet connection and a private space where you can speak freely and remain uninterrupted are required, a comfortable chair is great too.Qualifications and registrations
Davies has over a decade of broad training in the healing arts, including a few years of wide-ranging study at the legendary Esalen Institute in Big Sur, California. Her focus is in supporting and freeing the life energy.
In 2024, she completed the first four years of training in Bioenergetic Psychotherapy—an integrated body & mind therapy which has its foundations in the work of Wilhelm Reich and Alexander Lowen. She currently practices as a Bioenergetic Therapist in Training, with full qualification expected in 2027. Her work is governed by the ANZSBA code of ethics.
In 2016, she trained in hypnotherapy at Rochelle Jaffe’s mindfulness-based school in Ashland, Oregon, and practices in Aotearoa under an American Council of Hypnotist Examiners certification. She is supported by regular, clinical, psychotherapeutic supervision.
Before all of this, Davies worked as a film maker and writer for a couple of decades, winning prizes for her documentaries, music videos, commercials and short films.
The depth, richness and diversity of Davies' experience allows her to offer a wealth of practical support to her clients, along with a genuine kindness and sense of humour. She works with people all over the world.

I work long-term with clients, especially when working on a deeper level to bring healing to early wounding, build a secure base and support enduring resilence and happiness.
Also, I do long-term coaching, focussed on supporting a person throughout different stages of their leadership journey.
