Hi, I'm Catherine, counsellor and career coach in Wellington. In my practice I support people to positively address challenges in their lives, including their career, to enable them to live with an empowered attitude and find the joy and fulfillment they are striving for.

A key focus and passion is trauma recovery for big T and little t trauma. It may be very recent or from our past. Such trauma as childhood sexual abuse, abandonment, neglect, earthquakes, violence, bullying, car accidents, and warfare.

My experience includes working with couples and relationships, anxiety, trauma, low mood and depression. I also work extensively with older clients (over 60s) and those who have experienced negative father issues.

In life we can all have times that are more challenging and painful than others and counselling can provide a safe space to work through those seasons.

I am a counsellor who is committed to providing that safe and confidential environment where people can feel heard and validated while working through their pain and struggles without judgement.

I offer in person counselling for individuals and couples in my Whangarei central office, also worldwide online counselling in English, Swedish and Estonian.

My areas of interest include couples therapy, migration and cultural issues, stress and anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, communication difficulties and self-esteem concerns.

I’m here to understand your life’s intricacies and offer an integrative approach to therapy. With a master’s degree in Psychology and ongoing training in Depth Psychotherapy, I draw inspiration from various therapies, including CBT, Positive Psychology, and Mindfulness.
