My name is Martin.
For over a decade I have been exploring the world of therapy and personal development, trying a wide range of methodologies with the goal of accessing my full self, free from my core limiting beliefs. Eventually I ‘discovered’ Hakomi Experiential Psychotherapy.
What I found in Hakomi is a method that gently gets past our 'defences' and eases away what we are ready to let go of, without the need for drama and catharsis. As a client of Hakomi, and through the training and practice as a therapist, I have gained greater access to my full Being.
This gentle but effective practice is underpinned by the use of guided mindful self-discovery and body-centred awareness in the safety of a nourishing therapeutic relationship.

I am a Graduate of the New Zealand Hakomi Institute Professional Training programme having completed 400 hours of experiential training over an 18 month period.Hakomi Experiential Psychotherapy - Hakomi draws from Buddhism, Taoism, body-centred therapies such as Reichian work, the Feldenkrais Method and Bioenergetics as well as Gestalt, Focussing, NLP and Ericksonian Hypnosis.
I graduated in May 2021. I am also undergoing a further 80 hours of Mindful/Somatic Trauma Therapy with Clinical Psychologist, Paris Williams.
I am currently working towards Hakomi Certification (CHT) and professional registration and have full professional insurance cover.
