Hi, my name is Craig Colhoun. I'm an experienced and registered clinical psychologist who was born and raised in Invercargill. I have a demonstrated history of working in the mental health care industry.
I am trained and skilled in various evidence-based therapeutic modalities including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Mindfulness, Dialectic Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Dyadic Developmental Practice (DDP), Maudsley Family Therapy (MFT) among with others.
I have a university background includes Master of Science (M.Sc.) and a Doctorate of Clinical Psychology (DClinPsych).

I work in my own private practice. I am also ACC registered to accept sensitive claims.
I started professional practice in 2011 and I have since worked in numerous different settings including assessment and interventions with offenders, Autistic Spectrum and Intellectually Disabled populations, Child, Adolescent and Family Mental Health and chronic pain management services.
As a result, I am competent in working with child, adolescent and adult populations and have developed vast experience in working with a wide variety of clinical presentations.
I am trained in various evidence-based therapy modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT),
I adjust my therapy style to meet my individual client needs. In order to achieve this, I endeavour to work alongside clients to discover their unique strengths and integrate therapy techniques to help them move toward their goals.

CAFS is a specialist child and adolescent mental health service providing assessment and treatment primarily to children and young people aged 0 - 18 years.
