Relationship counselling (solutions focussed) and relationship psychotherapy (healing and growing yourself through relationship) can help you understand and connect with yourself and others. It helps to consider how your beliefs, habits and patterns affect your relationships, and can help you connect to what you want in relationships. I received a Master of Psychotherapy from AUT (honours) and have completed trainings in Hakomi (a mindfulness-based somatic psychotherapy), trauma work, systems and parts work (such as IFS - Internal Family Systems), and ecotherapy.
I was involved with Nonviolent Communication trainings for many years, using it as a counseling approach before training as a psychotherapist. I spent over two years at an eating disorder clinic in Auckland and volunteered at the Heretaunga Women's Centre in Hastings upon moving to Napier at the beginning of 2021.
