My name is Anna and I am a Qualified Counsellor and hold full NZAC Membership. I have been in private practice for over 10 years in the Mid Canterbury area. You're welcome for individual (child, youth & adult) counselling and relationship counselling.

In life we can all have times that are more challenging and painful than others and counselling can provide a safe space to work through those seasons.

I am a counsellor who is committed to providing that safe and confidential environment where people can feel heard and validated while working through their pain and struggles without judgement.

I offer in person counselling for individuals and couples in my Whangarei central office, also worldwide online counselling in English, Swedish and Estonian.

My areas of interest include couples therapy, migration and cultural issues, stress and anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, communication difficulties and self-esteem concerns.

I’m here to understand your life’s intricacies and offer an integrative approach to therapy. With a master’s degree in Psychology and ongoing training in Depth Psychotherapy, I draw inspiration from various therapies, including CBT, Positive Psychology, and Mindfulness.

I believe that realistic choice-making can support your counselling, and I consider it a privilege to journey with you in a safe and confidential environment to process what can be difficult emotions. Hi, I’m Tamsin! I offer various therapy and coaching modalities geared towards emotional/psychological wellbeing, relationships, parenting and change. I work with both adults and teenagers, using a combination of mindfulness ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), CBT, Solutions Focused Therapy, EP, IFS (Internal Family Systems), Positive Psychology, Attachment Theory & Gottman Couples Therapy.

My aim is to combine the best of research-based methods with a compassionate and non-judgemental, whole-person, attitude.

A key focus and passion is trauma recovery for big T and little t trauma. It may be very recent or from our past. Such trauma as childhood sexual abuse, abandonment, neglect, earthquakes, violence, bullying, car accidents, and warfare.
