Hi! I am Phil, an experienced online counsellor and online family therapist in New Zealand (Auckland).

 

If you are at a stage in life of feeling that things aren’t quite how they should be. Let me reassure you there is always light at the end of the tunnel.

 

I see individuals, couples and families. I work with people of all ages and have a specialty in supporting people to recover form destructive relationships.

 

I am hugely passionate in helping people on their heroes journey, I read constantly and have lots of different qualifications which keep increasing.

 

I provide an environment of empathy, support, and trust. I wish to help you feel at ease to explore what has been going on for you and the goals you would like to work towards.

I offer online therapy through Skype.  



Statement concerning the coronavirus pandemic

I endeavour to support clients through the pandemic.  My sessions all carry on the same via skype rather than in person.  I also have a special offer geared particularly for dealing with stress associated with the pandemic which are half the usual feel with particular direction to this purpose.  Contact me for details.


Qualifications and registrations

  • BA (Hons) Combined Studies (Psychology) (2001)

 

  • Other Diplomas in: Nutrition, Philosophy, Business management.
  • Virtual Coach Training with Eban Pagan and Annie Lalla (2020)

My specialty niche is supporting people to recover from destructive relationships. 

 

My overall passion is seeing people on their heroes journey from surviving to thriving. I love seeing people burst through to become their most authentic selves.

 

I use an integrative approach to do this. I use a person centred trusting framework mixed with coaching , nlp, transactional analysis, ken Wilber integral life practice framework

 

I also see a lot of people with other issues, such as workplace struggles, relationship issues, depression and anxiety very common (often mixed with relationship issues), ptsd.

Fees

My fee is:

 

  • $120 per one hour session of individual counselling
  • $130 for couples
  • $140 for 3 or more people

1. Where is your practice (office) located?
Birkdale road and Remuera road.

2. What life events have been important to you?
Having lots of counselling in 2002. Moving to New Zealand in 2009. Studying to be a therapist 2005 to 2008. Moving into more entrepreneurial ventures 2018 onwards.

3. Why did you become a counsellor / therapist?
I studied psychology as a degree and was interested in helping people. I then had a lot of personal therapy which made me decide this was the path for me.

4. What do you like the most about being a counsellor/therapist?
I love to see people move to being the person they truly are/want to be.

5. What is your most remarkable experience as a counsellor/therapist?
No one experience stands out. The general experience is all very positive and affirming.

1. What was your most pleasant moment today/yesterday?
Today has been experiencing bb the morning sun.

2. How do you see yourself in 5 years? And in 10 years?
I see myself being a counsellor for pure enjoyment with no connection to income. I see myself being financially grounded through other business ventures.

3. What are your hobbies? What do you do in your free time?
Beach walks and coffee. Time with my nephew.

4. What makes you happy?
As above.

5. Do you have a partner and/or family?
No partner and my family are in the UK. I have people here though I love as family.

6. Have you ever had therapy / counselling yourself? What was your experience?
Yes it was incredible.

7. What other occupation would you have liked, if you hadn't become a counsellor / therapist?
Some work helping others maybe teaching, social work, support work. Also perhaps entrepreneurship.

Back to the future. It just resonated with me as a child. Loved time travel as an idea.

To raise consciousness of humanity.

My intuition.

Know you are fundamentally okay whatever has happened to you. Just be you.
