Kia ora tātou
I am a registered psychologist passionate about partnering with individuals, couples and families across the lifespan to enhance their wellbeing and to find sustainable solutions to a wide range of concerns. My practice is collaborative, empathetic and evidence-based.
I use an integrative approach that draws on a range of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), mindfulness, Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) as well as creative and somatic modalities. Depending on client goals and concerns, psycho-educational and coaching practices may be used.
Together, we develop the insight and skills to help you manage and work through the problems you are experiencing. You will be listened to sincerely and supported in developing greater self-awareness, self-compassion, and targeted change.
I am also a trained mediator and am especially interested in supporting families in transition (during and after separation). To this task, I bring a deep understanding of child development, family systems, parenting, and communication coaching. I have specialist training in child inclusive practices and high-conflict dynamics.
I live in the beautiful Bay of Plenty with my son, and currently work in private practice at a central CBD location.
