Counselling and Psychotherapy Richmond NZ

My name is Lea.

With a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Psychology, I am certified in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy. A graduate therapist in Integrative Psychotherapy (Hakomi) and am a certified Buddhist chaplain.

Specialising in loss, grief, and end-of-life counselling, I have extensive experience using mindfulness and cognitive behavioural skills therapy for depression, anxiety, workplace stress, and burnout.

I work in a way that is client centred, valuing the clients' lead in exploring their difficulties at their own pace and in their own way - I see my role as a guide in this process.

I also run Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy groups in Nelson and on-line. And coach individuals in the MBCT programme.

I draw on a range of therapeutic modalities, including mindfulness, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), psychoeducation, mindful and somatic psychotherapy (Hakomi), and non-sectarian chaplaincy counselling.

If you want to know more or make an appointment, contact me.
